Our Rooms
  • Chico Mendez Room
The smallest room in the house. It also faces the colonial well and is furnished with two rocking chairs, a ladies' vanity with mirror and the "best" artwork and graphics in the building.
    One double bed Air conditioned
  • La Kajera
This room got its' name from the venerable dooryard orange tree that was sacrificed in order to build the room. Located on the mezzanine level, it is reached by a narrow stone stairway and has a screened balcony overlooking the colonial well. There is a large bi-level bath, a sofa, several chairs, 19th century doors and a stairway to nowhere!
    One double bed Air-conditioned
  • The Terrace/Balcony Rooms
Three rooms (Enrique Granados, Pablo Cetina & El Palomar) each have a private balcony or terrace, desk, chairs, an armoire and nice artwork.
Air conditioned Eking or Queen beds (2 twins available by request)
  • Rooms with Large Master
These two are the Frida Kahlo Room and the Manuel de Falla Room. Each can accommodate 3 guests. These larger spaces face the pool area. Each is elegantly decorated and appointed with period furnishings.
One queen and one twin bed Air-conditioned
  • El Mirador
Casa Mexilio's Penthouse room. The most requested and most private room, fifty-two stair steps will get you to bed! It has a private terrace larger than the room itself and boasts a 300° view of the city. The decor is Mexican colonial - the ancient and rustic. In this room you get up early because the sun reaches these heights first, the city awakes early -- and the church bells seem louder, too. If you plan to spend your vacation in bed, don't choose this room.
